Drone Surveys

A closer view of the hard-to-reach.

Drone surveys help us see roofs and elevated parts of buildings that are difficult to inspect from ground level, providing useful visual evidence for condition assessments and defect investigations.

How we help

See the detail
from a new angle.

We use aerial imagery to examine visible roof coverings, rainwater goods and other relevant building features. The value is in the interpretation: images considered alongside the building's construction, history and the issue being investigated.

The Qualis approach

Useful imagery. Informed interpretation.

We assess flight suitability before attendance. Weather, airspace restrictions, permissions and the surrounding site determine what can be captured. Where a drone is unsuitable, we can advise on alternative inspection access.

Useful to know

Your questions.

Can a drone replace every roof inspection?

A drone provides visual evidence of exposed surfaces. Close inspection, opening up or other testing may still be required to establish hidden defects.

Can you combine this with another service?

Yes. Drone inspection can support building surveys, defect analysis and planned preventative maintenance reports where appropriate.

Can you fly in any weather?

No. Wind, rain, visibility and site conditions affect whether a flight can be completed safely. We may need to rearrange.

Does a drone replace a close-access inspection?

Not always. It provides useful imagery of elevated areas, but some defects need physical access or additional investigation.

What do I receive?

The agreed deliverable may include selected photographs and surveyor commentary. We confirm the scope and reporting format in the quotation.
